Landcare Australia is a national non-profit organisation founded over 30 years ago to support the land management community through funding, capacity building, community projects, information, networking and promoting land management services. .
Together with Landcare communities, their work improves biodiversity, builds the resilience of Australia's food and farming systems and creates stronger communities. As a leader in the environmental sector, Landcare Australia has extensive expertise in designing, managing and implementing challenging and complex large-scale environmental restoration projects, including large-scale replanting and carbon reduction.
Founded in 1989 by former Prime Minister Bob Hawke, Landcare Australia supports over 5,000 groups and 100,000 plus volunteers in land management projects focused on sustainable land management practices and environmental protection.
